An abandoned ferris wheel from Chippewa Lake amusement park, and a photo set of the big dipper by the same photographer. And here’s a brief video with before and after shots of the same park.

I live about 15 minutes away from there and somehow I had no idea it ever existed. Shocking, really.

Wow. That is incredible. I love how the ferris wheel seems like it is a part of the trees. Like some ghostly amusement grown up in a forrest.
Thanks for sharing. I predict that when I am 60, my grandkids will look at pictures of me at 20 and get the same feeling I had looking at the side-by-side comparision pictures of the roller coaster. Those as yet unborn brats.

I’ve come to really appreciate the photos that have been coming out of the urban exploration craze over the past few years. If you’re interested in photos of nature reclaiming the relics of humanity you might enjoy looking into the topic.
My favorite is this photo journal of a girl who motorcycles around inside the uninhabitable zone around Chernobyl in the Ukraine – elenafilatova.com.
I love this stuff. Great find.
