You know what they say. When life hands you cake vodka, you make… a perplexed face because what is this shit? My friends and their ironic purchasing habits.
So this post is about using up an entire bottle of cake vodka before the people who brought it leave. This is both to teach them a lesson, and also so the bottle won’t linger in your cabinet and bring shame upon your household.
Our mission? Fruity drinks that taste like cake. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday night, and better ways to spend a Sunday morning. Onward!
I had a bag of blueberries in the freezer (how long have those been in there?), but these would likely work out ok if you subbed in any frozen berry. This is two variations on a blueberry/almond milk drink in an attempt to make a cheesecake thing happen. Both are good, the second is sweeter and more milkshake-y.
THE BLUEBERRY CHEERS
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 shot of cake (or vanilla) vodka
1 shot of regular vodka
1/2 cup almond milk
Juice of 1/4 lemon
Mint for garnish
Pop everything in the blender, and blend until you don’t hear the blueberries clonking around. Pour over ice, and garnish with mint. Makes about two small lowballs.

BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE BOOM
1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
1 cup almond milk
2 shots cake vodka
2 shots regular vodka
zest and juice of one lemon
1 cup Odwalla Superfood
Ice to taste
Again, throw everything in the blender and blend until smooth. If you want more of a milkshake consistency, throw in some ice. Serves four.
Was it good? It was good. Especially when you cut it with actual vodka.
