I wanted to call this the Chandler, so you should call it that if it makes you laugh. This is a light, juicy something Anna Beth and I mixed up just before we went floating on the river last week.
• 1 shot Bombay Sapphire
• Five cherries, some muddled
• Ice
• Odwalla lemonade
Cut out the cherry pits and muddle three of the cherries in the bottom of your glass, then place the rest of the bits in the drink whole. Add ice, gin, and Odwalla lemonade — if you feel like making lemonade fresh, even better. Lemonade to taste.
I’m in New York this week, so here’s to Al Green on the radio at the Ace, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at night, and seeing the sun from the other side.

I’ll be lakeside in Vermont, and this will be perfect to toast friends, family, and recuperation from a month that just kept throwing curve balls. Emphasis on the balls, there. I might get crazy, and muddle some mint in there, too. Thanks for the cocktail, Maggie. I owe you one!
