Weekend Soundtrack: Outside Lands 2012 | Mighty Girl

I’m heading to Outside Lands next weekend, courtesy of AT&T, which means I don’t have to find a way to smuggle in my camera this year. I’m so legit right now, you guys. Thanks, AT&T!

Here my picks from a few of the bands who will be playing; it’s what I’ll be listening to all week. Are you going? Please say hi if you see me. We will totally dance together.

  1. Please don’t miss Big Gigantic!! I saw them this past winter and they totally killed it. They are two dj’s who play the sax and drums over electronic music, it’s an unexpected but really great combination.

  2. I have been listening to the new Andrew Bird album quite a bit lately; the song “Sifters” really strikes a chord with me.

  3. “Hold On” by the Alabama Shakes has been on nonstop along with
“It All Began With a Burst” by Kishi Bashi. Anything by those two is gold in my book. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I’m so jealous. My husband hates crowds like the plague so I’m very live music deprived. Have a blast! I’m also loving “Hold On” by Alabama Shakes! Great song. She reminds me of a bluesy Nina Simone.

  5. Beck’s Sea of Change album, Feist, Fiona Apple’s new album, Lana del Rey.

Have fun next weekend, the line up is amazing! You are awesome Maggie!
