Hank: Mom, watch this!
(He grins and dunks a jar underwater. Water splashes up on his face, and I laugh.)
Hank: Why did you laugh?
Me: Because you looked so happy, it made me feel happy.
Hank: Oh. You caught it?
Me: I caught your happy?
Hank: Yes.
Me: I did.

This just made me smile. Moments like this are the best.
:D
I caught it too~!
Happy IS, after all, highly contagious. :-D
Love the toenail polish. BTW, I bought a fitbit because of your post about it, and I love that little device almost as much as my phone. People are disconcerted when I reach into my bra to pull it out and check on my mileage, but otherwise it’s a total win. Am trying to walk at least 12K steps/day now. Thanks for a life-changer, and keep up the good work. I admire you.
Oh my goodness. That’s so cute! I also really like your nail polish.
Your toes are still saying i mean business but i’m ready to party.
Sweet.
In my home state of Mississippi, a happy is a small gift given for no reason and for which no reciprocation is expected. Also known in Louisiana as a lagniappe or a searcy (sp?) in the Carolinas.
Southern shopkeepers everywhere are going to get nervous if happies can be so spontaneously created and traded.
Oh, I can’t tell you how much I love this. Such a little thing. Such a big concept.
Kids are the best, aren’t they? My daughter will tell me “I make you happy, Mama!” when she thinks I am down. She does.
Sigh. I love this so much! My son is only 15 months old and I already love our “chats.” I can’t wait to see what he comes up with when he has a vocabulary.
