Giveaway: Mighty Summit Gift Bag

When we were pulling together gifts for the Mighty Summit, we set a few aside to give away. There will be Summit giveaways on Mighty Girl all this week, but this first one is a doozy. Here’s what’s up for grabs today:

Tieks by Gavrieli

I bought a pair of these perfect ultimate travel shoes a while back, and they’re one of my new favorite things. Tieks fold in half so you can stuff them in your purse, but the quality is amazing. They come in all sorts of candy colors and metallics — plus they pack flat and slip off easily when you’re heading through airport security. The winner gets to choose any pair for $135 and under. I recommend orange.

Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer Strap

I can’t believe how long it took me to replace my ugly, logoed camera strap. Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer strap really dresses up your camera, and even has a little pocket for extra memory cards or a lens cloth.

Lola Epiphanie Camera Bag by Maile Wilson

Maile was an attendee at this year’s Summit, and she brought along her bright Epiphanie camera bags. I use mine as my everyday purse and have finally stopped busting expensive lenses and gadgets by wrapping them in hand towels and shoving them into an un-padded purse. Now I can have my SLR, my flip, and my phone(s) with me without anything banging together and cracking or getting scratched by my keys.

And that’s it for today. Pretty good, huh? To enter to win, please leave a comment about something on your Life List.

Now for the fine print: Please only leave one comment, because it’s the nice thing to do, and also because multiple entries will be disqualified. I’ll use random.org to select the winner, and I’ll announce who won at the top of this post and in a separate post next Tuesday.

  1. I have many cool things on my life list, thanks to your inspiration. However, I think one of the best ones is to learn to drive a Big-Rig. Big trucks = fun!

  2. Be as great of a mother to my kids as my mom was to me. I miss her every day.

Thank you, Maggie, for being such an inspiration. You are wonderful!

  3. I am currently unemployed and know, in my gut, that corporate America is not where I belong. There’s something waiting for me to discover…I can FEEL it.

  4. This one is about to happen: have some of my photos be part of an exhibit. Granted it’s just a student exhibit, but it will be nice to see them printed and displayed on a wall for lots of people to see.

  5. I’m in the process of creating my life list, and just posted my unfinished list on my blog yesterday. One of the items on my life list is to sew 100 things, and I just finished my first two projects last night — Tinkerbell and Lightning McQueen covers for my kids’ booster seats in our car.

  6. Run a marathon. This is a self-proclaimed prerequisite for childbirth. I figure if my body can do something like run 26.2 miles, it can DEFINITELY survive passing a small human.

  7. Beautiful items you’re giving away!

Since I read about the Mighty Summit life lists, I’ve been pondering my own life list. So far, the only item on it is to visit Paris just to hang out and watch people and maybe see some sights.

Realized that just saying I want to go won’t get me there. I need to book a plane ticket and make the plans to go!

So along with going would be to learn conversational French.

  8. Something that is on my life list is to become a mother. I don’t care whether I become a mother naturally or through adoption, but I want to give the gift of life to a child, or the gift of family to a child who doesn’t have one.

  9. I’ve written my life list a long time ago and have crossed out some. Right now the top ones in my long list are: be a good mother to our son, get a driver’s license, take photography classes, jump off of Waimea Rock in Hawaii (lived there for 6 yrs. and never had the chance to do it), be a certified scuba diver, scuba dive with my husband, and go to Africa and experience a Safari.. 🙂

  15. One of my life goals is to help save lives through photography. I was a teen mom and now my daughter is 5. I would love to volunteer and take pictures of young pregnant moms and help inspire others around them to choose life. 🙂
