Giveaway: Mighty Summit Gift Bag

When we were pulling together gifts for the Mighty Summit, we set a few aside to give away. There will be Summit giveaways on Mighty Girl all this week, but this first one is a doozy. Here’s what’s up for grabs today:

Tieks by Gavrieli

I bought a pair of these perfect ultimate travel shoes a while back, and they’re one of my new favorite things. Tieks fold in half so you can stuff them in your purse, but the quality is amazing. They come in all sorts of candy colors and metallics — plus they pack flat and slip off easily when you’re heading through airport security. The winner gets to choose any pair for $135 and under. I recommend orange.

Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer Strap

I can’t believe how long it took me to replace my ugly, logoed camera strap. Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer strap really dresses up your camera, and even has a little pocket for extra memory cards or a lens cloth.

Lola Epiphanie Camera Bag by Maile Wilson

Maile was an attendee at this year’s Summit, and she brought along her bright Epiphanie camera bags. I use mine as my everyday purse and have finally stopped busting expensive lenses and gadgets by wrapping them in hand towels and shoving them into an un-padded purse. Now I can have my SLR, my flip, and my phone(s) with me without anything banging together and cracking or getting scratched by my keys.

And that’s it for today. Pretty good, huh? To enter to win, please leave a comment about something on your Life List.

Now for the fine print: Please only leave one comment, because it’s the nice thing to do, and also because multiple entries will be disqualified. I’ll use random.org to select the winner, and I’ll announce who won at the top of this post and in a separate post next Tuesday.

  1. I actually just decided yesterday (the day you posted this) to start a life list. First on the list: Learn to play Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

  2. I love baking bread, so like a crazy person, I just added go one year without buying any bread, only making it. I should start buying yeast in bulk i think.

  3. Just last week I almost accidentally completed one thing on mine: sell something I baked. My friend asked for lemon bars for an event at her store. $20, satisfied customer, done!

  4. So every once in a while my hair falls out in clumps. It is genetic–I had a bald great grandmother. So every time it starts to fall out I feel sad.

Life list: Next time I’ve got all my hair, I’m going to shave it off (i’ve done this before, but only when it has already balded itself) and have some pictures taken of myself so I can remember: I am an attractive bald person. And the hair will come back (eventually). And I’m not afraid of it falling out again.

  5. Well have a drug-free birth was on my list, and I did do it epidural-free, with just a little fentanyl when my water broke at 9cm. I think that deserves something. Next up: lose the baby weight!

  6. One of my lifelist goals is to learn to play the saxaphone again (I have lived away from home for 5 yrs sans my sax, and have forgotten everything I learnt).

But my parents came to visit recently and brought my saxaphone with them! Hurrah!

  7. Great giveaway! The first thing on my life list has been to prioritize the rehabbing of 2 chronic injuries – PT, chiro, easing up on hard exercise. It’s not fun, but it is working. Yay for acting like an adult!

  8. I want to go to the Field of Dreams in Iowa, but I think I have to do it quick bc I’ve heard they’re in some financial trouble!

  9. An unpublished item: to actually be my real liberal hippie self in front of my in-laws. I have unconsciously created a sort of alter-ego for them that makes me dread their visits even more than I normally would.
