Giveaway: Mighty Summit Gift Bag

When we were pulling together gifts for the Mighty Summit, we set a few aside to give away. There will be Summit giveaways on Mighty Girl all this week, but this first one is a doozy. Here’s what’s up for grabs today:

Tieks by Gavrieli

I bought a pair of these perfect ultimate travel shoes a while back, and they’re one of my new favorite things. Tieks fold in half so you can stuff them in your purse, but the quality is amazing. They come in all sorts of candy colors and metallics — plus they pack flat and slip off easily when you’re heading through airport security. The winner gets to choose any pair for $135 and under. I recommend orange.

Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer Strap

I can’t believe how long it took me to replace my ugly, logoed camera strap. Photojojo’s Tokyo Dreamer strap really dresses up your camera, and even has a little pocket for extra memory cards or a lens cloth.

Lola Epiphanie Camera Bag by Maile Wilson

Maile was an attendee at this year’s Summit, and she brought along her bright Epiphanie camera bags. I use mine as my everyday purse and have finally stopped busting expensive lenses and gadgets by wrapping them in hand towels and shoving them into an un-padded purse. Now I can have my SLR, my flip, and my phone(s) with me without anything banging together and cracking or getting scratched by my keys.

And that’s it for today. Pretty good, huh? To enter to win, please leave a comment about something on your Life List.

Now for the fine print: Please only leave one comment, because it’s the nice thing to do, and also because multiple entries will be disqualified. I’ll use random.org to select the winner, and I’ll announce who won at the top of this post and in a separate post next Tuesday.

  1. I never made the time to compose a life list for myself – until I realized that I had just crossed the first thing off of it: move to a brand new city.

Some people might say that was starting with the hardest thing first. But now there are dozens upon dozens of hardly-easy things I want to try next, like running a half-marathon and living on a boat for a year. Or maybe just learning to knit (seriously, knitting is complicated!).

  2. I am currently working on my life list goal to sign up for a camera workshop/class. Everything for this giveaway would help me have fun while completing another thing on my life list!

  3. I want to FINALLY see the nympheas room at the Orangerie in Paris – something I’ve wanted to do since I was seven or eight.

  4. I loved your idea so much for trying different fruits that I made one of my life list items to try 500 fruits. I’m up to 60 in only a few months with two more sitting on my kitchen counter right now.

  5. I don’t have a Mighty Life List so much as a Play the Piece Before I Die List. I am a professionally educated amateur clarinet player and I managed to find a really phenomenal local community orchestra in which to pursue my dream of becoming a professional clarinettist. This year I was named principal clarinet after seven seasons with this orchestra. The first concert we are playing includes Mahler’s first symphony, which I have wanted to play since I was a freshman in high school. We are three rehearsals in toward a performance on October 30 and 31 and I am thrilled to check Mahler 1 off my list. Now, onto Ein Heldenleben.

  6. I have been drooling over that camera bag for awhile now! Sure would help me (look the part) when I accomplish my goal of taking a photography class and learning how to use my camera!

  7. After moving across the country in August to complete life list item #1: Go to grad school, I started adding oodles of new things to the list like: camp on the Appalachian Trail, attend a Bluegrass festival, and learn how to make grits from a true southern woman.

I definitely need a good camera bag to go with me (and travel shoes for when I fly back home!)

  9. I recently re-read my life list and there was ‘live in New York’ on there. It was that last push that I needed to apply to grad school there.

  10. Choreograph another hip-hop routine! I may change this to any kind of dance routine. I choreographed a dance routine for a group of high school students last year and loved it. It’s also something I didn’t know I could do!

  11. I suppose it’s rather cliche, but I really want to visit Britain. I’d love to spend several weeks and just explore all of it.

  12. I’ll be crossing off a pretty major Life List item this Saturday: I’m getting married! And then we’re off to Italy for our honeymoon, where I shall cross drinking wine at an Italian vineyard off my list. It’s a big week for the Life List. 😀

  13. Run a marathon. A year ago I would have sworn that I had no desire to EVER do something as absurd as running for 26 miles, now here I am two weeks away from race day! Funny how our sense of what is possible grows with a little faith (and a whole heck of a lot of work!)

  14. I just started my life list this afternoon, coincidentally! So far the only thing I have on it is to double my website traffic within the year, which, now that I think about it, doesn’t seem to be the point of the life list. But, count me in for this lovely giveaway anyway!
