Two more WePC posts that I forgot to tell you about:

1. Top Five Genuinely Useful USB Gadgets, in which we discuss whether you really need a George Foreman USB iGrill.
2. What’s in Store, which is more about how much I need a foolproof backup system to protect me from myself.
Do you have any USB toys that you use all the time? Or more ideas about smart stuff to store online in the event of an emergency? Let me know.
Alas, the USB battery charger is out of stock. It’s available other places, but I’m being good and have simply filled in the “Yes please” thing to be notified when it’s back in stock at Useful Things.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I’m ordering that foot-tap thing from ThinkGeek. I have pretty wallpaper on my widescreen monitor and I want the “hide desktop icons” feature. That’s ALL I want it for, okay? Right? Good. *cough*

The virtual storage is just a matter of time and logistics, it will come. I can’t wait. In the meantime I email everything to a special email account that I can access with my iPhone. It’s totally ghetto and inelegant, but it did save me at the train station not too long ago when I needed my ticket and a passport scan in a pinch.

Has anyone actually tried the Ion U-Record USB Music Converter? Is the sound quality good?
This would make the perfect gift for my brother-in-law, to whom I owe a great deal, but who has absolutely everything. I’ve been searching for months, and I’m so hopeful that this it.
