A couple weeks ago, Bryan lost his keys, causing much upheaval. They’re the kind of keys you can’t copy, thus leaving us with only one key between us and the sitter. This morning, I saw them sitting on the dresser.
Me: Hey! Where did you find your keys?
Bryan: (slightly annoyed) I told you already.
Me: What? When?
Bryan: Yeah, I already told you this.
Me: No. I’m sure you didn’t. Where did you find them?
Bryan: Remember when I was all, “Me and a bottle of cabernet are besting the toddler?”
Me: What? What are even you talking about? Where did you find them?
Bryan: Didn’t you read my Twitters?
Me: … You mean you told me via your public Twitter? Are you kidding me right now?
Bryan: Yeah, remember I was all, “It only took six days, but I bested…”
Me: No. No. Stop saying things out loud.
“Stop saying things out lout.”

Maybe it’s just a really long work week, but I don’t get it.

S, you’re right, we kind of speak in shorthand. I edited it to clarify the subtext. He counted “Twittering it” as telling me. We never had a conversation, he was annoyed because I wasn’t caught up on his Twitter feed.

This is seriously funny stuff! I’m glad I’m not we’re only couple who does this.

my husband is blissfully unaware of twitter as an entire concept, but we still have conversations like these.

I know couples who talk to each other via Twitter or Facebook or Comments on each other’s blogs. I always think it’s so strange.

My husband and I write comments on our blog, but it’s funny to us because we’re sitting eight feet away from each other.

Oh my gosh! That is totally my husband and me! He tells me things via my blog. In the comment section. He comments on his wife’s blog. We have had entire conversations through the comment sections. Glad to know I’m not the only one married to a nerd. A cute nerd. But a nerd nonetheless! 🙂

My husbands friends read my twitter stream, he doesn’t. This leads to interesting moments in dinner conversation where one of them finishes a story I’m telling that he doesn’t know, leaving him wondering how we’re all spending our time when he’s on business trips… which is often enough where some men may have reason to hesitate. Of course not in my case, but if that’s what it takes, I’ll twitter away. 🙂

Note to self: next time I’m in a relationship, don’t let them know I twitter.
It’s bad enough that my ex boyfriends read my blog and know what’s going on… no wait… sometimes that’s a good thing :o)

Never mind the communication, what you need is a new lock. We have these — http://kwikset.com/SmartSeries/SmartScan.aspx and they work great.
