“The data shows that people who are rich aren’t any happier, so you might as well derive your happiness from what you are doing today.”

Wow, that’s a pretty interesting thought experiment. Reminds me of “What would you try if you knew you would not fail?”

I’ve been ruminating on this for a few days, and have decided I would ENJOY being a stay-at-home mom and part-time tutor. I’m already those things, but think I drown my enjoyment of them in guild that I’m not something more successful. It may be time to let go of the idea that I owe womankind a big paycheck and nice work shoes and instead feel free and happy in my big little life.
