My friend Steph Dub is asking people to make audio gratitude journals by recording something they’re thankful for every day. I have that thing where I don’t like the sound of my own recorded voice, so I’m a little cringe-y posting this, but here’s my first one:
Cool idea, right? You can record yours right here at the Appreciation Engine, which is part of SoundCloud’s Community Fellowship Program.
here’s a hug to take that cringe away — love your voice (both written and spoken). thanks for sharing.
I don’t know why you don’t like the sound of your voice; my first thought was that it was beautiful! Then again, I don’t know anyone who likes the sound of their recorded voice. And now I want to try tomato soup for breakfast. But it would have to be with grilled cheese.
Your voice is more than lovely, Maggie, which is why I just shared this post with a photographer friend who is now moving into video, and hates the sound of his own voice. Maybe I like the voice because I like the man, but I think something that’s honest and real counts for a lot these days. And maybe that’s why I love your voice, too. Love ya, girl!
Thanks for sharing, this is a very cool idea!
