Anna Beth sent me a package of finds from an estate sale a few months ago, and I put this dress in to soak. A few minutes later, I found this mess of gorgeous in the tub.
Glad I didn’t put that in the wash with the rest of my clothes.

If it stains the tub, we found out that only Scrubbing Bubbles is strong enough to remove red dye from a white tub.
Can’t wait to see the dress. :)
all that just so you could have a fab photo!!
hope the dress and tub fare well after the fact.
And here I thought you were trying to DYE the dress. At least it made for a fantastic photo.
wow, holy “Phew!”!! beautiful shot!
YOOWZEERS!!
Hitchcockian.
Did you need Little Cat Z and Voom! to remove the pink tub ring?
OMG was somebody murdered while wearing that dress? #hitchcock
I too thought you were attempting to dye the dress. Thank goodness you didn’t just cavalierly throw it in the washing machine with other clothes. Can you show us a photo of the dress after it came out of the tub and dried off?
Maggie, this is a very random question but it’s inspired by my intense desire to have an Anna Beth in my life who will send/procure for me wonderful items of clothing: do you happen to know anyone in SF who is a personal shopper or a personal shopper wannabe? Preferably not crazy expensive as I’m not crazy rich (or even a little rich), but I absolutely _loathe_ shopping (please don’t ban me from your site.) Would appreciate any suggestions!
Hi Gwinn,
Don’t know if you’re still reading this, but shoot me a note at maggie at mighty girl dot com. Let’s chat.
