  1. I looooove that Dizzee Rascal song. It prompted me to ask: is Dizzee Rascal ALWAYS this great, or just once in a while?

Also love: his bootleg tshirt, which is a modified image of THE A-TEAM #1 from Marvel Comics, in case you were wondering.

  2. I just emailed you a recommendation of a local Seattle band. I wrote about them on my blog today and also, coincidentally (before reading this post) recommended Ida Maria. Love her!

  4. My 5 year old fell in love with “Help I’m Alive” last year… SUCH an amazing song, I don’t mind that she’s pretty much been singing it non-stop since 🙂

  5. Even better than Dizzee Rascal is dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip riffing on it:

“I got a holster – I keep biscuits in it.”

  6. I think this might be your best mixtape yet, Ms. Mason. I love Dan Auerbach (go Ohio!), and mmmm YES to the Dizzee Rascal. I saw him perform on the back of a flatbed truck in a warehouse in Brooklyn a few years back. You cannot help but feel a little more badass when you listen to Dizzee Rascal.

  7. Thanks for so many great suggestions over the course of this exercise – also looking forward to the next bunch. My brother also thanks you because while you recommend all this music, I stop pestering him for new stuff. So thanks from both of us 🙂
