So, today is our wedding anniversary, Internet.
Bryan and I have been married lo these seven years, which I hear is very good luck. Right? Right! We’ve been together for nine years, which officially makes us saints. (Especially the me part of us. Trust me. I am the Mother Theresa of married chicks, but with shorter skirts and more tequila.)
Every so often, one of you emails asking about what happened at our wedding — what we wore, where it was, what we ate. You think you’re having trouble finding it on the site. Wrong! You’re sure that if you look hard enough, you’ll find my wedding day shoes and a full list of our readings. Not true!
The truth is, we were married about a year before everyone started sharing details of their weddings publicly. At the time, it was considered a little too personal, unless you happened to have eloped. This is because we are very, very old. (WHAM! Orbitz! What are roller blades? ) So I’ve decided that this week is the wedding tell all.
Are you getting married right now, you sweet young thing? Congratulations! Here’s yet another dose of the giant stash of wedding porn that is the Internet.
Happy anniversary, Bryan R. Mason. You continue to be a very nice young man, and I love you.
Aww. Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary! I am, indeed, getting married right this very minute. Or rather, in 4 weeks. But to hear everyone’s reactions, it’s rightthisveryminute. I’m looking forward to hearing wedding details this week, as it’s never too late to find good ideas!

Congratulations! You guys make marriage and other grown-up stuff look like so much fun.
One of my favorite couples just celebrated their 10th anniversary and posted a picture of their invitation…which included a link to their wedding website at homestead.com.
That took us all back a bit. ๐

Well isn’t that funny – today is ALSO my 7th anniversary to my dear husband. And we have also been together 9 years – well 9 years and a couple months as we met in Aug of 2001.
The years had gone quickly and oh so much has changed…especially the fact that so much more about our lives is shared daily for sure!
Happy Anniversary!!!

LOL – we were married on 10-11-03 too! It definitely was before everyone shared all of the details, although I was totally addicted to The Knot back then. ๐ Happy Anniversary!

Maggie, I don’t know about that! I’ve been reading your blog since before you were married, and I recall the red shoes and the fabulous homemade wrap around bridesmaid skirts.
Can’t wait for even more details this week!

Ahh, happy anniversary! Though I would like to point out that I have been married seven and a half years, and although people didn’t spill the beans on blogs back in our aged day, I had a “journal” over on the wedding channel in which I obsessed at length over “STD’s” (save the dates — get your mind out of the gutter!), the availability of peonies in March, and toile tablecloths to a bunch of perfect strangers, some of whom are now my best friends. The internet is a strange and wonderful place.

Happy anniversary! I started reading your blog after seeing your wedding photos on Flickr — I loved your dress/style that much. No surprise, I’m still reading all these years later.

Happy Seven, Masons! You two are one of my “Great White Hope Couples” (hope that marriage doesn’t ruin all the fun).
The fact that, having now met you, I feel this even more strongly? That’s just awesome.
Have a wonderful day!

I am not 100% sure what the hell you are doing in that photo (perhaps a little extra tequila on that day of days?) but congratulations are certainly in order.
Bravo, and well done, you.

David just walked by and looked confused and then said, “Oh, I thought that was a picture of us.” And I said, “no, just kind of similar.”
Happy, you guys. You make marriage a good team to be on.
(PS @Daffodil, she’s fake flamenco dancing! Can’t you see the fake castanets?)

Bryan’s blog was the first I ever started reading (when he was working the SLC Olympics.) I started reading you when you guys got engaged. I read his version of the engagement, then went over and read yours. That’s a great story. And so Bryan!

What a coincidence! It’s my and my husband’s 7th Anniversary as well. Except we’ve been together for 12 years…does that make us super-saints?
