So! The gift bags for the Federated Media cocktail party in New York were kind of jaw dropping thanks to a couple of good friends. Maile from Epiphanie Bags, the woman who did our family photoshoot, offered to give us a bunch of her camera bags:

Then our friends downstairs at Photojojo said they could get us some Fuji Instax Minis and film:

Are these gift bags ludicrous? Yes they are. Do you want one?
Leave a comment telling us something on your life list by Monday, August 30 at noon PST. Your comment enters you for a chance to win the Lola Epiphanie camerabag and Photojojo’s Fuji Instax Mini 25 Instant Camera. I hope you win, because I like you very much. Thanks for reading.
Now for the fine print: Please only leave one comment, because it’s the nice thing to do, and also because multiple entries will be disqualified. I’ll use random.org to select the winner, and I’ll announce who won at the top of this post and in a separate post on Monday.
Throw a barn party! Square dance caller, cowboy stew and mugs of beer….fun into the early hours of the morning.

This has been on my list for many, many years. I came close to being able to go about 10 years ago, but then I lost my job and it was no longer a possibility: I want to visit the Queen Charlotte Islands off the west coast of Canada in order to visit the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site. You can read about it here: http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/bc/gwaiihaanas/index.aspx

It’s not so much my life list, as my whole family’s! I want to learn French with my first child as an infant/toddler, visit Everest with my husband, and do a round-the-world trip for several months… perhaps for some wonderful monumental anniversary or our retirement? I don’t know… there are so many possibilites!

In honor of 2010, I am cooking page 210 of every cookbook I own (page 2010 seemed a little ludicrous). Luckily I own 52 cookbooks. So that’s one a week. Wait until you see what I do with 2011.

Something on my life list is to forgive my mother-in-law. And I really need a new camera bag as mine is from the 70s (a hand-me-down that came with a vintage Canon FT and a Minolta SRT201! score!) and it’s just not enough room with my new DSLR and I’m struggling to make a go of this photography thing in my small town. Sappy enough? I deserve it! 🙂

I made a life list with my fiance on our anniversary in March. We crossed off a big one on each of our lists in May when we bought our first house. One on my list was to get a pedicure with him since both of us love foot rubs. I scheduled our pedicures for this coming Monday. It will be the second one I have ever had and his first. We are going to have totally fancy feet! I am excited!
