Mighty Closet: Rachel Brune, Outfit No. 4

Apologies for the silence, I’ve been at CES, and I’ve had hinky traveling issues with Internet. So without further ado, let’s talk about Rachel’s next outfit:

As I said, cute. Cute! You see that full skirt, so you know where this is heading:

Twirling is mandatory when you’re wearing a skirt this good. Rachel’s skirt is, of course, vintage. (I know, I know, I can practically see all of you shaking your fists at the sky.)

Her T-shirt is Old Navy, and the Pop-Out pendant is by Melissa Borrell Design. It’s from Rare Device.

I’m so covetous of these vintage shoes. She found them while we were out shopping together, and never have I been so envious of Rachel’s teeny feet. Also, they have a cool fastening mechanism where they snap closed so there’s no wear on the leather at the buckle:

Monday we’ll check out Rachel’s cocktail attire. It’s Audrey-tastic.

Take us out, Rachel.

Have a happy weekend everyone.

  1. Man, I thought Aubrey or Courtney would be my favorite, but Rachel is adorable. Seriously, that skirt and that necklace and oh my goodness. You and your friends are the cutest girls ever, it’s official.

  2. Yum. Happily not covetous, since I also know all fab vintage shops in the city. It does make me feel spendy though. Damn you both.

    Sigh. Happy shoes.

When do we get Mighty Apartments? Because I want all of these apartments.

  3. I’m such a fan of the white t-shirt, swooshy skirt, killer necklace combo. I…think I need to sit down. (And attempt to draw that necklace to me with the POWER OF MY MIND.)

  4. Fabulous, as usual. I love the brown boots in outfit #3. Just bought a lovely pair of Born boots (garnet hill), and I’ve found myself with nothing to wear them with. Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. She has the kind of feet [well, I guess I can’t vouch for the right foot, but the left foot] that ballerinas dream of. Oh, not me, of course, mine are perfect. *dreamy sigh*

  6. Oh, and the body, too. She’s gorgeous. Add these outfits you’ve been posting and WOW. Seriously, like beyond said — “swoon.”

  7. I agree with the suggestion of Mighty Apartments! Fun idea!!! and YES give us more from Rachel’s closet! I am in love…

  8. Awesome as usual, and inspiring. LOVE the skirt. I thought you might like to know that you can take any shoe to the cobbler to have a snap installed. My dad did it to all his birkenstocks. Do I ever get around to it? Nope….

  9. Many ballroom shoes come with that fake-buckle snap thingy, and good thing too – after ten straight hours of dancing tango in 3″ heels, the last thing you want to do is be fumbling with a fraying strap. My wonderfully comfy Diamant bronze ballroom shoes have this feature (http://bit.ly/4pUIPl).
