We leave for Naxos in the morning. In the meantime, there are a few more Santorini photos on Flickr.
Intel is making my site more interesting by sponsoring my Mighty Life List over the next few months. They’re paying for my trip to Greece so I can cross another dream off my list.
That head scarf is inspired. I hope you’ll do a post on how you packed for this trip!
Gorgeous pics. You will adore Naxos. Must rent scooters. (Wind in hair and bugs in teeth.) Living vicariously through you. xo
What fantastic pictures! I am extremely jealous…living vicariously…have fun!
lovely photos. judging from your smiles you’re all drinking ouzo. i wish i were on a greek isle too.
I had a very memorable stay on Santorini when I was 18…oh so many years ago. Thanks for allowing me to reminisce and live vicariously a little!
All I know about Santorini is from “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”. :P
Naxos! I am so looking forward to my honeymoon in Greece and your photos are making me that much more excited. We’ll be in Santorini for a week (where the in-laws are putting us up) but plan on traveling around from there. I’ll have to research via your blog.
Gotta jump in here…went to Santorini for my honeymoon, and yeah, it’s great. But Naxos! My hubby is from there–so I might be biased–but I’ve spent many a summer on Naxos. Sure, it’s arguably not as spectacular as Santorini. You’ll find, though, warm people, delicious food (bring on the cheese!), and wild mountain villages. Eat at Axiottissa in the beachside town of Mikri Vigla and then head up in the mountains to Apiranthos, one of the prettiest villages I’ve ever seen. To me, this is Greece at its best. Opa!
Beautiful pictures, Maggie. Love you in that yellow headwrap!
So apparently, Greece makes everyone beautiful?

You are living the dream. Well, certainly my dream. Have fun and be safe.
Naxos was my favourite. The seafood is incredible, and the old town is perfect for wandering and the beaches are pretty amazing too. Enjoy!

Naxos is fantastic! You’ll definitely love the cheese (and the really cute waiters). Definitely rent scooters. My favorite island, without a doubt.
Ditto on Michelle’s comment: Mighty Closet, the Greek Edition is a must.
I love the pictures of friends laughing over a drink. Good times.
