  1. I like it! Give it another 2 weeks for them to get a tad longer, and you’ll be more comfortable with them. But they look swell on you.

  3. Yeah, I listened to that voice a few months ago too… and I am not having bangs cut ever again.

Love your site, I have a 17 month old boy too, his name is Jeffrey.

  4. Okay, I am woman #1001 that you don’t know, but I must tell you—your bangs are fantastic. You were already darling; the bangs add a very nice Golden Age movie starlet touch. So there!

  5. They’re cute! However, if you have trouble getting used to them, my words of advice (as a fellow spur-of-the-moment bang-cutter) are these: ponytail and headband.

  6. Why you gotta so be fierce all the time Maggie?

‘Scuse YOU and your new flattering fringe, alabaster skin and red lips to boot!

  7. OK, I totally wrote that wrong above. It’s suppose to read “Why you gotta BE SO fierce all the time Maggie?”.

    Mea culpa, I’m ghetto-dyslexic.

  8. Day. before. wedding. I so win. Plus, yours are CUTE, mine were just ridiculous. I look like a 12-year-old in my wedding pictures.

    Rock them, girl!

  9. Love ’em. Bangs are great and as they grow out you get those sweet little wispy things that drive you nuts, but everyone else finds romantically beautiful.

  10. You look great, but your eyebrows have this great personality that does not like being covered up. But you know that. You know your eyebrows better than I do.

This picture (probably your expression) makes me think “Lucy! You got some ‘splainin’ to do!”

  11. I like them, on you….I just cut my bangs and I have a love hate relationship with them.Right now I have them pinned back.I recommend Claire’s for when they are not doing what you want them to do.

  12. I say cut them shorter! You’d find it easier to style if you just go for the whole Bettie Page look and I think you could carry it off beautifully! I wore mine that way for a few years and loved it. Someday I’ll go back again…

    You look great, don’t worry!

  13. Your hair is fantastic! Really, having never seen a picture of you before this post, I would have thought that you’d had them all along. Love it!

  14. I have no idea what you hair looked like before, but it looks great now!

You are a redehead that has found her perfect red lipstick. So. Envious. I noticed the lipstick immediately! Fabulous!

  15. You’re going to have to work A LOT harder than a mere “cutting of bangs” to not be gorgeous. Man do you have pretty skin! And I bet the bangs will grow on you once they get just a tiny bit longer. You look great! 🙂

  16. I have naturally curly (fabulous! *ahem*) hair so my first reaction to the word bangs is a shudder and a gasp but they look good on you.

  17. I once home hi-lighted my hair the night before my 20th class reunion.

Thank god, switching the part to the other side covered most of it up.

  18. Bangs.
First time viewer of the site would say “Why fish for compliments? Of course she’s beautiful!”

Long time lurker (guilty) would say “Bangs Maggie= beautiful”. But your expressive eyebrows… that’s what shares with us your fun!

Sweetie, you rock no matter what.

Though if we had to vote, I do no bangs.
(maybe only through jealousy that I can’t rock either way the way you can.)

  19. Love it! I used to have these and wish I could again, but my husband is not into them, and I live to please him! I will live vicariously through you! They will be so sexy-librarian-hot with your glasses! Yay for you!

  20. You look gorgeous 🙂 Wish I had looked like that when I had bangs done a few months ago – I don’t know what possessed me. Mine were half your length – NEVER AGAIN. They’ve grown in now and look fine.

  21. The cuteness of your dress/belt was overshadowing the hair for me. You were a delightful moderator. I really wanted to give an example of a life transition that was not parenting, but didn’t (ie when my husband and I went from being totally into swing dancing, vintage clothes, etc to not caring). Anyhow, my friend in Duboce Park is about to name her baby Hank, so I am going to send her your link.

  23. So cute! Not at all seventh grade. When I got bangs last summer I found it necessary to find a bang-tending product. I’ll save you the experimenting. I have settled on the Smoothing Fluid from Aveda. The difference is night and day. It tames flyaways and adds shine.

I think your bangs are the perfect length. You look glamourous. As they grow out, if your bangs don’t seem fall the way they should, have your stylist trim them with a razor. The ends will be softer and they will style a lot easier.

  25. I lurve them! They look fab on you!
Beware, they will be a bitch to grow out when the time comes, so try to just like them too, you have committed and there is no going back. Can you tell I speak from experience, I am currently in the midst of my 47th attempt to grow out my bangs, and I am failing…again!
