  1. So true. So very, very true. But aren’t you happy you took the time before the baby was born to do those things? For me, it makes me smile and think “gee I was cute, thinking I’d acutually ALWAYS iron her baby clothes!” And I like looking back and laughing at that “cute” me.

  2. Showers… My favorite ones included the ones with a toddler standing right outside the shower, screaming the entire time the water was running.

    So relaxing.

  3. My husband and I play this game sometimes called, “What we used to do with our time before we had kids.” Then we try to remember what we did with all of our free time. Dinners out? Check. Yoga 5 times a week? Check. Sleep in on Sundays? Check. Hanging out with friends for as long as we want with no repercussions (i.e., having to wake up at 6 a.m. regardless of how hung over we are because the children are jumping on top of us)? Check. Welcome to our world!

  4. I really like that his initials are “Hmm…”

As in, “Hmm… am I absolutely adorable, or positively precious? The world may never know.”

  5. Yes, yes, yes. Thank you for letting me know I’m not the only one. Old life me would never have put on the nearest two socks of the many on the floor. New life me, she does. And all the crafting plans I had for when I was home with the baby…ha! I just had no idea.

  6. Hank is so gorgeous….and so much work for such a little guy!
I remember when my future ex-husband thought I should study for my doctorate while I stayed at home with the baby. Right. I could not read the newspaper in a whole week!
Enjoy, though. They grow up way too fast.
