Lately, Matthew Baldwin of Defective Yeti is posting like crazy, and he’s been pulling a few ideas from my book, No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog. Here’s my favorite 100 Ideas-inspired post so far. Never underestimate the power of acid wash jeans and red suspenders to make your heart go pitter-pat.
Meanwhile, Jeff Veen, user experience guru for Google, mentioned my book in a discussion of how the web is turning amateurs into experts, and tools like Vox and my book are helping on that front.
Blogging expert Leah Peterson is playing along by asking readers to submit something via mail for inclusion in a group painting. She has a P.O. box for submissions, so send something her way.
Finally David Beach, formerly of Yahoo Shopping and now with Wink, is still hard at work whittling his body down and upping his health quotient at Die Old. I mentioned Beach in the book because I’m pretty inspired by what he’s doing. Go on over and lend a helpful comment. It would be great to see him build a community around the idea of dying old.
That’s it for now. If you haven’t bought the book, I hope you do, as I think you’ll like it. If you have, please link to your 100 Ideas posts in the comments. I can’t wait to read them.
I got your book for christmas from my sister-in-law. Here’s one of my posts based on your ideas.

A friend of mine gave me your book when I announced my intention to participate in NaBloPoMo. I used idea #39 in this post (which led to an entire category): http://noirbettie.com/blog/2006/11/16/a-sweet-little-bullet-from-a-pretty-blue-gun/

Oh, I bought the book and received it in time for NaBloPoMo last year. I’ve used it twice so far, which is exactly 98 times less than I thought I would have done by now.
Of the two posts that I’ve written with prompts from the book, this one is the best:

I requested the book for both my birthday and for christmas. Then was asked why I didn’t get it for either event and I had to practically yell: “Because sometimes I am tempted to write ‘Today I had some baked brie and bread. It was delicious. The end.” Why don’t non-bloggers understand??
I’ve ordered the book and it’s due to arrive tomorrow. Thank the lord.

I got the book in the mail last Friday and am nearly finished with a first read-through. I’ll definitely go back through to make more notes and pull suggestions along the way – it’s a great book!
My most recent blog post deals with your book, my cat, and an imagined lunch sandwich: http://thewordcellar.blogspot.com/2007/01/no-one-cares-about-my-cat.html [Scroll down the page to see the post. Blogger is doing something weird with the spacing.]

I’ve started having “Mighty Girl Mondays” this week. To others, it sounds like I’m at home striking poses with only a cape and a martini but people in the know will realise that I’m going through your suggestions on a weekly basis. Whilst rocking the whole cape/martini look. Which I hear is in this year. Again (phew!)

I actually have been using your book quite a bit, mostly to ammend the prompts to something more workable for me. I’ve persuaded some friends to get it and use it for NaBloPoMo like I did as well. I’ve really enjoyed it, so thank you!

I’m doing all kinds of stuff inspired by you (Prone to Hyperbole @ http://hardtobehuman.blogspot.com/).
Family history, obsessions, etc. Still working on getting the Flickr link, my computer @ home kinda sucks. Not even done reading your book, but it will be dog-eared by the time I consider posting “I don’t know what to write.” Thanks, Maggie! Oh yeah, I’m wearing my shirt for our Superbowl Party! bwahahhaha!

I just bought your book and can’t wait to receive it! I just started blogging a few months ago and am loving it. But, as with any new venture, guidance is a good thing.
I’m blogging about my transition from Assistant General Counsel to a global software company to Stay At Home Mom to my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Life’s an adventure, that’s for sure.
You can find my blog at http://boardroomtoplayroom.blogspot.com.
