And what a man he is. I blinked and I have a three year old that talks back and has opions on everything. Am loving it!

My daughter, Rosemary, is close to Hank’s age and I’ve been quietly watching them grow up together. It’s amazing how you sometimes catch them in a certain posture or in a photo and can see the young man or woman they’ll be. It’s kind of heartbreaking and amazing all at once.

The same thing has happened with my Hudson. I turned my head for a second and now he’s this long, lean almost-five-year-old starting Kindergarten this Fall.

My heart is swelling and breaking at the same time.

And I agree with everyone else, Hank is a gorgeous little boy.

Man, I miss Evany’s regular blog updates. I’ve been a fan of hers ever since The Secret Language of Sleep, and she is one delightful writer. It’s pretty darn cute to see both of your sons growing up to be comrades in handsomeness.

I bought one of Evany’s “Let Timmy Smoke” tee shirts after the World Series. I’m wearing it tomorrow to the game. Thanks, Evany and to your husband whose name I can’t recall! BYW, you (Maggie and Evany) both have very handsome young sons.

    What a beautiful boy. Truly.

I also gave birth to a boy-child that people like to compliment. When they do, I like to respond by saying “Thank you, I grew him myself”. As if he were an heirloom tomato or something.
