I spotted this collection of bathtub plugs at an antique shop in Austin and it reminded me of Lisa Congdon’s fantastic A Collection a Day project, which is one of my must reads every day.

Why did the shower plugs make me feel a little uneasy? Do I need to take a shower? Clean my shower? Bathe my child? Will a monster creep up the drain and attack in the night? Art is so strange like that.

It was Uncommon Objects, Desiree. I didn’t mention the name and link out because I was reprimanded for taking the photo. Apparently they’ve adopted a no cameras policy since I was there last, which is too bad.
