That Dangerous Book for Boys looks fun. Linsay books http://www.lindsaybks.com/index.html, used to have a series of books from the early 20th century called 700 things for boys to do.
It looks like these Dangerous guys have culled articles from those books and re-packaged them.

I work at a bookstore and I can’t recommend the Dangerous Book for Boys enough. It really doesn’t look like cut and paste articles, but I’m not familiar with Lindsay books. I got it for my brother’s graduation and he loves it. Hell, it’s a pretty good book for girls too. Many, many people have tried to teach me a bowline, but only the Dangerous Book succeeded.
