  1. I’m 35 weeks along and my belly has been hiccupping, too. When it first happened I thought, how cute. Then, like anyone else who has the hiccups around me, it got a bit annoying. And I can’t even say, hold a spoonful of sugar in your mouth for 10 seconds! Merry Christmas, Mighty Girl, to you and yours.

  2. We sort of had cookies for breakfast. Our church is over a hundred years old and founded by a whole bunch of Swedes so it’s tradition to go to a 5:30 service called “Julotta” Christmas morning (kids in jammies, Mom and dad bundled into sweats and coats) and hear the Christmas story and sing Christmas hymns. After that we all go into the auditorium and eat various (usually sweet) goodies people have brought with them. In our family we open presents after that then all go back home to sleep till eleven when we get up to make the food for Christmas dinner.

  3. My mum says I had hiccups pretty much every day for the last couple months before I was born.
Which doesn’t sound pleasant, but she got the least of it because I still have them every day.

  4. Merry Christmas. I just read your book (in one night) which is a good thing!

Anyway, I’m hopin’ it’ll take me out of my funk. Cheers!

  5. Cookies, indeed. While my family eats a real breakfast, I’m digging into a slab of cheesecake the size of my head. Oh, that every morning could be Christmas morning!

[And that my butt could miraculously grow smaller as a result of my breakfast choice! Hallelujah!]

Hope your holidays are as sweet and filling!
