I’ve been collecting old Japanese brooches like these, because I like their architectural feel.

Have you ever fallen in love with something in a thrift store that you didn’t know existed before?

Can this post count as a thrift store? Because now I may need to find a brooch.

I used to hate skirts because the slit always felt too revealing. (I’m used to living in jeans.) Thrift stores introduced me to the kick pleat and allowed me to comfortably graduate into a more ladylike wardrobe.

Frankoma pottery in that wonderful green glaze. I just used to buy it whenever I saw it because I liked the color. Then I researched it (before the internet was a “thing”) and learned that it was coveted by others. I wish my home were larger so I could display it all.

J’ADORE! I used to collect vintage brooches and make necklaces out of them. This is a fabulous find…would make a great hair piece too.
