[...] I have a fresh new copy of Maggie Mason’s book of blog ideas to prompt me when I inevitably run short on ideas for things I feel I can write something worthwhile about with whatever brain function is left for me at the end of the day. And I even have a pair of percentile dice to force a choice about which of the 100 worthy writing prompts to use, so I don’t use up the month hemming and hawing some more about which prompt to use. Since I’ve promised myself long ago I will never, ever blog about how I don’t have anything to say. [...]

[...] I haven’t been able to write about this before now, because oh wait. I’m lazy. And lately I’ve been busy. But this present that I got for Christmas is just so cool I couldn’t pass up a write-up. Even Janet, the Queen of Nothing Even Remotely Having To Do With Technology, thought this was super cool (after I explained to her why she should think it was cool). She knows who Maggie is, because she reads Dooce, and for Christmas Allison gave me a copy of her book, No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog. [...]

[...] What got me thinking about this was a post by Dooce (which was based on this book) about relationship deal-breakers. After compiling my list, I’ve decided it’s a pretty darn good thing I am getting married because I think I’d probably have a hard time finding someone who doesn’t do any of these things AND who likes me back.
[...] In order to help me out with the blogging thing, I have received two books (”No One Cares What You Had for Lunch” and “Learning to Love You More“) meant to put a spark to my lazy creativity. They both recommend sharing stories and/or photos about scars. Well, the best scar around doesn’t belong to me, but Lolly didn’t want me to take a picture of her arm. Little did she realize that I just so happen to have one at my disposal anyway. [...]

[...] May 22nd, 2007 by allinblack I bought this t-shirt from Mighty Girl.  I ordered it, waited several weeks ago for it to show up.   Mom came out to visit and I forgot about it.  A week or so after she left I realized it still wasn’t here.  I emailed Miss Mighty using the contact link on her blog.  No response.  I emailed her using the address at the end of her shop page.  No response.  So, I left a comment on one of her posts, detailing the entire situation.  I received THE NICEST email from her husband, apologizing for the situation and promising to correct it immediately.  I cannot tell you how nice this email was.  He promised to dispatch a t-shirt immediately, which he did.  I was so excited waiting for it, and when then it got here and… it doesn’t fit.  Big-long-drawn-out-sigh.
[...] I think I knew that mighty girl was a published author but I can’t recall for sure. Anyway, her book “No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog” is a good resource for those bloggers who face road blocks occasionally when blogging. If you Buy it from her she’ll even autograph it! What a deal (Oh and check out the shirts she has for sale on her site…. they rock!!). [...]
