About

Maggie Mason is a founder, publisher, investor, and advisor. She’s passionate about content strategy, travel, and human potential.

Mason launched her blog Mighty Girl in 2000, and later coined the term Life List. Since then, Mason has checked goals off her list and traveled the world with support from Intel, Olay, Hyundai, P&G, and tourism boards for Australia, Jamaica, and Hawaii.

In 2012, Mason co-founded Go Mighty, a 6,000-member web platform for Life Lists, and a strategic ad network that connects brands with influencers. Go Mighty has conceptualized and executed content campaigns for Old Navy, AT&T, Microsoft Bing, and a “Go Australia” campaign that was nominated for two Iris Awards.

Between 2008-2013, the Mighty brand anchored five years of conferences, including Camp Mighty and Mighty Summit, sponsored by HP, McDonald’s, and the Clinton Foundation. The events raised over $80,000 for Charity Water.

In 2004, Mason launched the first shopping blog, Mighty Goods. It was named one of Time Magazine’s Top 50 Cool Sites of the Year and Best Shopping Site by Forbes and BusinessWeek. It was acquired in 2010, along with sister sites Mighty Haus and Mighty Junior.

Mason has served as a Social Good Fellow for the United Nations, is a former member of Intel’s social media advisory board, and an investor in Makeshift Society. She was an advisor to Brizzly (acquired by AOL in 2010), and author of No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for your blog.

She has spoken at SxSW, ALT (Altitude Design Summit), and Mom 2.0. among others, and for businesses like Square. Her work has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition Sunday and The Rachael Ray Show, in The New York Times and Elle Magazine. She lives in San Francisco with her son.
