Oh my goodness, I used the bourbon brine on the turkey that my husband and I killed ourselves (hooray for eating really REALLY local) and IT WAS AMAZING. So delicious. For real the best brine recipe.

Low key is amazing but it also helps to spend it with amazing people- be it friends, family, or that one boy who's about to leave to travel the world. After a lot of single holidays, I'm convinced its the people and not all the hubbub that makes it really special. (And I would totally spend Christmas like that with you any time, says the single Jew- so you've got an open invitation to do something random with me here in LA if you'd like!)

The best Thanksgivings are the low key ones! Have a great day, Maggie. And thanks for the joy you bring to my life through sharing yours.
