I found these this year, also. They were in our organic delivery. They are indeed tasty. My daughter, who cannot stand kiwi — I think it’s the fuzz — loves them.

For anyone who lives in cold climates (like the Northeast): these are cold-hardy! They grow on lovely vines — you need two (male/female pair) — and you can grow them in your very own yard! I speak from almost-experience: my own vines are a little too young for fruit yet.

I KNEW you got them at Bi-Rite! I get 4-5 half pints every time they carry them and they’re always gone within a day. They’re THAT good.

They’re from Bi-Rite in the Mission district of San Francisco. They’re not in season right now, I got them a few months ago and am just getting around to posting them. And they are totally rad.
