		<description>Here&#039;s an interesting piece of trivia that&#039;s only indirectly related to this post.  In the original novel of The Wizard of Oz the shoes were silver and not gold because the book was a metaphoric account of the bimetallic movement of the late 19th century.  
The idea being (correct as it turns out) that by going off the gold standard to a silver and gold standard, you could help farmers with the exploded debt of deflationary agriculture commodity pricing by debasing the currency.  Apparently, they changed it in the movie to obscure the reference.  
The point here being that there&#039;s no-place-like-home shoes would then be silver and not ruby.  
Still, pretty stylish.  But, then again, so are all yr friends.  The skirt contrasts nicely with all the whitewash.</description>
