Mine take about 3-5 minutes longer. I've been doing this for years. And for total rookies-freeze the dough balls on a cookie sheet covered in waxed paper, and make sure they're not touching. (Maybe dana meant to ask if you defrosted them in the microwave? I can't imagine you'd get a good cookie from the micro.)
