Our home was broken into a few years ago, and although we felt lucky (dogs were safe, no one else was home) it still felt pretty weird. I can only imagine how much harder it would be now that we have a baby (close to your little man's age, actually). But we did feel better sooner that I would have expected. I bet you will too. They left quickly but the feeling that someone was in your house is so awful.
