Wow – I love the picture of the guy in the green cap looking at the green picture.
Too bad that gallery is in Texas. I have a no “we don’t like your kind around here” travel policy. =-)

Jemaleddin, try visiting Austin – the only kind we don’t like are the Republican sort

This museum is awesome. I used to live in Fort Worth. I worked at the Cowgirl Museum. If you get the chance, you should visit it as well. This makes me miss Fort Worth!

I saw you there! You look like a teenage girl in person.
I am such a blogger newbie that I am simply amazed at the cool photo stuff you’ve got going on. I love reading what you write. Thanks for all the fun info.

It looks like a real hazard for the fireman to climb…that said, my cousin Renee is a guard at that spot and I am sure she hates that one.
everyone wants to climb it. maybe that is the alure. eh?
I guess it’s good that the architecture is so cool because I am a total philistine when it comes to modern art– unless it’s ladder-y goodness. I have noticed this lately– the new MOMA and the Boston ICA buildings are so cool that I don’t mind being dragged there even though I can appreciate the art inside.

I love that museum. Love love love. I want to have its babies. Did you also visit the Kimball? Please tell me you did, the Kimball is excellent. As a Dallas person I can’t actually like Ft. Worth, but I can grudgingly admit they have some damn fine museums.
I grew up in Arlington, Texas and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth was a favorite since junior high. Your photos of the new building are lovely. I hope you enjoyed the collection as much as I have over the years.
I LOVE the Ft. Worth museum of modern art! We stumbled across it by accident – embarrassingly enough, we were trying to kill some time until the rodeo and stock show last year – and it was wonderful. They had a ton of pieces that we were thinking, Wow, this is here? In this dinky little museum? And what a gift shop…
Wonderful photos and fantastic writing! I love your website.
Can you please tell me the name of the artist and information about the sculpture with the ladder in the first photograph? It looks like an amazing piece and I would like to read about the artist.
Thank you!
I also hope you got to see the Ron Mueck exhibit. It really is amazing and if you didn’t I hope you can catch it elsewhere. It kinda bums me out that Texas aparently has such a bad rep. I’m a nice lady, from Ft. Worth.

I love how people are all “Awesome museums??? IN TEXAS??? SURELY NOT, NO!!??!” as though in all the 10 glubillion square miles of Texas, all we have are rednecks and cows. Yes, Virginia, we have art museums. Rather good ones. GAH!
Sorry, having said that, I’m from Dallas, but Fort Worth has the BEST museums. The FW Museum of Science and History is one of those places I could waste a day in. Also, the Kimball. Also, the Amon Carter. Also… all of them!
I’m so jealous! That looks amazing.

Hey. You’re in my neck of the woods!
Hey I live in Fort Worth! Where are you guys eating? Angelo’s has the best barbecue around.

Fun! I love museums. Actually, I haven’t been to one in a while, so I really should go. Only now work interferes. Stupid job.
I love the water shots – it looks like an amazing place.
There’s Austin and then there is the whole rest of Texas. I love me some Austin. I leave anyone who wants it, the whole rest of Texas. Giddyup!
I could totally paint that green painting.
Damn it! I missed my calling.
Dude, that’s awesome! I live like 30 minutes away from that, why haven’t I seen it?
Awesome pic too.
I hope you saw the Ron Mueck exhibit, too. Awesome stuff. Welcome to Texas! We like all kinds around here.
Bossy thinks maybe she’s been at the bottom of that very same storm drain. (Great photos)
