Dear heaven! The paper cuts page makes one feel insignificant and completely talentless. It’s beautiful and amazing.

  • Jonathan Says:

The wig is pretty funky – my other half reads Knitty (and knits like a possessed knitting person), so you never know – I may end up with a picture of myself with a distinctly woolen barnet in the near future.

  • Emily Says:

Man where can I get a wig like that! #2, what a tease, the image is marked private on Flickr.

  • shy me Says:

    paper cuts hurt.
    but those is nice.

  • Kate Says:

Either that Flickr picture is private or Yahoo has made it so you can only access Flickr if you create an account. Those bastards.

  • Kirs Says:

Kate if you mean the Heather/Dorian link, I think it’s just private. My flickr account did not have the gusto to get past the private-ness of it.

  • jonniker Says:

Kris, it’s a private friend-only photo, far as I can see. I have a pro account, and can’t get in. So Maggie, you might want to remove that link.

  • JewJewBee Says:

Glad it wasn’t just because I am too stupid to click the link right!

  • Jen Says:

I was also thwarted by the private link in #2–glad to know it wasn’t just me.

Oh, how I yearn for a knitted wig in blue…

I’m attempting to collect “Things You’ve Learned”, a play on the Esquire feature from January 2006. The best responses will be compiled and posted toward the middle of November. Please check out All The Tips I Can Give at http://allthetipsicangive.blogspot.com to post what you’ve learned.

The paper cuttings were so terrific. I just found your blog- where have I been and what have I been doing all this time?- via Andrea at Superhero and I am so excited! Looking forward to perusing though the archives!

  • Meredith Says:

I made the hallowig for a mrs santa claus costume last year (in white sparkly yarn!)

    it’s easy!

  • Heather Says:

Maggie, I chopped of the bit that had my passport info (though somewhat blurred) which led me to privatize the photo. The image is no longer private. xox h
